BF 1942 problem

Ok, so I broke down and got myself BF 1942. The initial install went great, the game worked wonderfully when I played it the first time. The second time however, I couldn't get the video to work at all. It just gives me a black screen. Audio is there, just no video. It even starts at the very beginning of the program, where the EA screen comes up. Anyone have any ideas?

did you change any thing? as in update to 1.6 (latest version)
Also what gfx card do u have? If the problem presists reinstall id say

Plus I would update to the latest revision, the origininal game has bugs and flaws.

update all your drivers and direct x.
BF is system intensive. it demands a lot.

The new update is DC 0.7. Punk Buster also has a new update. 0.7 fixed allot of the stuff. 598 megs and it''s best to get it through Bit Turrent.

Az, you wouldn't by chance be using a Radeon card with the Digital Video jacks would you?

No, I'm using an nVidia. BTW, I fixed the problem. I'm guessing it was my monitor. On alot of games I play, the monitor automatically adjusts for cinematics and such. When I pushed the auto button on the screen, presto, suddenly BF works again! I did DL the 1.6 something patch, should I dl the desert mod? I do have a few games to play, since I spent my Christmas money finally.

Anyone wanna own me on CIV III?

Yes download the desert mod..but you may want to wait a few days until the latest spike is over in downloading the latest revision.

You will love that game, It timly and faster paced.
BF1942 could be that mod and I dont think anyone would complain...ok not many

download desert combat through bittorrent, only took me 3 hour at 60k/s

one thing i noticed i had to do it for a friend for his bf1942.you gotta update your driver for your nvidia card.got to nvidia.com and download and download a driver update and that might work
