This ranks all major pro (baseball, football, basketball and hockey) sports on numerous categories. I'm pointing it out because the WORST franchise in all of sports is WORSE than the Arizona Cardinals, L.A. Clippers, Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Brewers or even the Portland Trail Blazers. ESPN voted the WORST franchise in all of sports...
The CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS owned by "Dollar" Bill Wirtz. Come pay those $75 tickets to see the worst team (in a large market) in the NHL. The AHL Chicago Wolves are going to start outdrawing the 'Hawks soon.

Here's your Chicago rundown on ownership. In order of the team's popularity in the city.
-----------------------------------
#1 The Bears - The Bears are by far the most popular team in Chicago. It's a football town. Over 20 former Bears are still on the air in Chicago. This is either in radio, tv or recap shows.
The McCaskey's are known is the "miser's of the midway". They like to cut corners and don't like to pay top dollar for top level free agents. They let their top players leave as well.
Cheapness Factor ***1/2
-----------------------------------
#2 The Cubs - Until the last two years. You could say they were as bad as any in sports. Since GM Hendry took over. There's been a willingness to "go for it." Kudos to Cub management into trying to end the curse.
Cheapness Factor *1/2 (* for not signing Ivan Rodriguez)
-----------------------------------
#3 The Bulls - The Bulls still sell out games and have a great fan base. Their problem was bad P.R. and players unwilling to sign with them. This team is a mess.
Cheapness Factor ***
-----------------------------------
#4 The White Sox - The Sox actually made an effort to improve. It nearly paid off, but they had ghandi as their manager. Now that the dumbass is gone...so are the players. The small market mentality (by letting Alomar, Everett, Colon, Graffanino, and trying to trade other bats) is going to have the crowds go back down to 11,000 from the 33,000 in later 2003. They could've kept a few free agents.
Cheapness Factor ****
------------------------------------
#5 The Blackhawks - The cheapest, worst and maybe most unfriendly franchise of them all. At least ESPN agrees with me. The Blackhawks are owned by "Dollar" Bill Wirtz who could care less about winning. I went to a few Hawks games and sat in the press box. I was sitting at a table with then scout Dirk Graham and Phil Russell. They even made fun of the boss. What does that say about your franchise?
Cheapness Factor ***** (only because there aren't ****** available) _________________ Yes, I'm still around
