mike rotch's team was completely dominating and no one wanted to play us. so people stopped showing up for matches and it was cancelled.

lol, I think you're confusing TVL with The Ville Cup kami.

There were two Ville Cups in the past. The first time <PWG> won, and the second time Torak's blade-runners won. It was supposed to happen again but never launched.

TVL also had two seasons. The first time around 2i gave everyone a smack down and easily won the title. To prevent this from happening again, in the second season there was a draft to pick teams. However, people didn't take their draft team as seriously as they would a normal clan/guild, and as a result there were a lot of forfeitures, which lead to the ending of TVL.

I would love to see another Ville Cup again.

A multi-mod tournament could instead be used. Separate teams into the different mod selections, or have each one face each other once in different mods (play a set of dod matches, then TFC, then TS, etc.)

Or we could try having one for TS only. Organized team play sounds like fun

ya that was it the ville leauge. When everyone got drafted. But still ville cup? #Beer #Beer If you do it on DOD i will shoot u all. Everyone plays DOD which is not what this community was built on. It was built on TFC so i think bringing in other mods is bad. Cheers to anyone who still plays TFC #Beer #Beer

I would love to play int eh cup - if and only if (and I am not alone on this) it is played on DoD.

Why do you TFC'ers fight progress?

Because progress for progress's sake is pointless.

lol? Progress? DoD and TFC are two completely different games with hugely varying styles. It's not like DoD is an upgrade from TFC. I personally think DoD is a crap game, and so I stick to TFC. When a new TFC style game is out, I'll join the "progress."

In my eyes, TFC is like the holy grail. I mean ive played other games DOD CS NS Ragnarok Online etc. But all of those get old and i always find my self going back to TFC. Now if u think im crazy then think about what was the first mod of hl u played? $5 says it was TFC so why not go back to your "roots" and fire up TFC again for some good ol days action.

I was number one in the stats for TFC for a while (meaning I didn't suck at the game). But it got too boring for me - its not realistic enough for me.

News flash, the new way is already here and it is called Day of Defeat.
