Got a call from my sister this morning, turns out her familys dog died last night after being ill for the past several days.
Her name was Chyna and she was a 7 year old German Shepard.
Here is a picture of her at Christmas at my place in 1999.
IMHO dogs are like people, except I like dogs alot more than many people.

Actually, my sister took it really well, she has her new son to take care of and love as well as her husband. Her Husband was quite upset about it and when she got to telling the family my mother and other sister were upset too.
It upset me to a point too as I have a real soft spot for dogs, but I am getting over it and life goes on.
Sorry btw, I didnt wanna bum anyone out with my post, I just wanted to share the picture of a wonderful pet.

We become so attached to our pets. I know my German Shepard is far more than a dog to me, shes my buddy and companion. My heart goes out to your sister and family JD, must feel like someone cut of their right arm

Dogs and humans need to live about the same age. Then life would be perfect. _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |

IMHO dogs are like people, except I like dogs alot more than many people. Ditto 10-4 and rgr that.Dogs are more loyal and have a straight up attitude.Hate to see or hear of a good dog going German Shepherds and Bulldogs are my favorite dogs no comparisons. _________________

Sorry to hear that JD.
How about a new puppy as a late x-mas gift?
There's something about a puppy thats eases the pain....it did for me and my family. _________________
