An example of the basic look for weapons in ASF. A Barrett M99-1 bolt action single shot sniper rifle. Some may be wondering "wheres the clip?!" the answer to that is simple (and part of the reason why I picked the M99 instead of older versions of the rifle): the M99-1 sniper rifle is a single shot rifle. After a round is shot another has to be put in the chamber. "But why only a one shot rifle?!" is your next question, right? Well thats also very important. Wouldnt it piss you off if you and your team (op forces) had to travel through a choke point and theres a damn sniper sitting there picking each of you off with a sniper rifle? This way theres only one shot and then a pause for the next round to be loaded (the zoom feature also is taken off and the player's FOV is returned to normal) to help slow down the sniping process. Now dont get me wrong, just because its a one shot rifle doesnt mean it wont kill easily enough (basketball size exit wounds would kill anyone).
Anyways tell me what you think,

I like that, many fine one shot rifles have been made even after
centerfire cartridges and magazines, etc. After all, one shot is all
you need if it's a GOOD shot |
