Ok, I'm new to steam...but what does Game Not Available mean? I've been trying to join AV all day and I keep getting this error through Steam. Any hints on what I should do? |

Well, the main page is down...and I've been looking through all the other forums and can't find the post your takling about. If you're not going to answer my question, can you at least tell me which forum I should be looking in? _________________

From steam thread:
Quote: | OMG Cyrax I think thats the problem. I read some where about someone having a problem with hl.exe still being open when steam was closed and to fix this permanately you have to remove the compatability mode. Then I remembered that I had to press ctrl+atl+del for some reason and I closed CS that way and I was able to get back in without having to restart. I am gonna do this straight away and report back. Thank You sooo much!
/EDIT
YES IT WORKS! Go into C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\"your email"\counter-strike and right click on hl.exe and click on the compatability tab and remove compatability. This should be sticked for all those people having the problem with "Game currently not avaliable" problems. |

It wont be there unless you launch the game after a install.
Next time do this.
1)Install it
2)Then open steam
3)Then double click on games
4)Then double click on TFC, should either update, or launch. Now you should have a hl.exe in your
5)steamapps/email/TeamFortressClassic folder.
6)Remember, its not in the TFC folder, but the one spelled out. |
