You need to find a file in your NS dir called something like gammafix.exe (Its named close to that) Make sure you have it and that its in the right place.

DO you have icq, msn or some other IM client running in your sys tray? I have noticed the same thing happeneds when I get a message blinking in the tray. I used tweakui to set xp to not allow windows to steal focus and that seems to have cleared it up for me. hth's

umm i couldnt find anything even remotely close to that...does it mean im missing it or what?

p.s. i found 2 things called reset gamma & tune monitor for optimal gamma but all they did was tell my to turn my brightness all the way down and then slowly increase it until some shapes emerged. but this still didnt fix my porblem with the high gamma when im done playing ns its still freaky weird..sorry to rabble on but im completly and utterly stumped
