Is all the blood really needed. DOD is a great game without it. Plus it looks really, really fake.

I think I have heard 100's of compliments on it.

Its something different. May not keep it forever anyway.

There is an option that pacifies the effects for the easily disturbed I suggest using it if this bothers you

Kills a couple of fps, but other than that, it's nice to watch your opponent's headless corpse send gallons of gushing blood several feet into the air as they fall to the ground, lifeless, and their blood continues to pour out by the bucket load, soaking the ground at your feet. Then all the crimson blood flying through the air comes down, showering all in your heroic triumph. All this as the crumpled carcass of your deceased foe drenchs itself with it's own gooey, sputtering, plasma. Arrrgh!!!

When only wounded you keep spraying blood. I keep looking for the bandage button but there is none

I didn't notice any blood other than the blood on the wall like in TFC. I still don't think it's necessary. It makes the game seem less real.
