If you have DoD retail you dont need steam to play on steam dod servers. |

It takes about 3 minutes for that screen to go away for me. But then I'm in, and it works fine. _________________

1)Close Steam
2)Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\config and delete two files
Masterservers.vdf and Serverbrowser.vdf
3)Open Steam and hit refresh once and let it complete it's update.
4)Close Steam
It should be fixed.
If not try reinstalling steam _________________ http://www.nosmacktards.com |

Uh oh. I deleted those files and opened Steam, but it didn't make an attempt to update. Is this a problem? TFC works fine for me, but I haven't been able to get DOD to work. _________________ Amen!

try opening the game from your "games" list first, then finding a server. |

The files refurbish theirselves after the update. Right-click the steamed icon and then choose games. Right-click the game DOD and select properties, make sure it specifys "Always keep this game Up to Date" and then close steam and reboot.
If this fails I would just do a re-install
