After the standard bandwidth tweaks, I'm still finding that my Steam install of all games is getting AWFUL multiplayer performance against my unchanged WON install, with the same settings (including video).
This seems REALLY counter-intuitive since Steam is supposed to be merely a file platform, but you look at the steam version of the binaries, they are different to add the hooks for steam.
So something is up. 20 fps next to 60 fps for the same game is
rather painful. Anyone heard anything on this? |

It could be your gfx card acting up. Its happened to me before - the vc settings would change randomly and so forth. Try checking your settings if you can or try uninstalling/reinstalling the games. Also, when the video modes are messed on my comp they usually reset them selves after a scandisk and defrag.
