I got the same thing last night after the update. Seems to be back to normal now. Try to exit and come back on.

If you are still getting the messed up menus delete the clientregistry.blob file from your steam folder. Start steam again and it will update itself and you'll get your menus back.

I restarted and it's still doing it. Oh well, I can deal with it until get time to try the registry thing and update it.
