I'm running Windows ME, and would rather not have steam start up every time I boot the computer.
Steam doesn't show up in the start-up menu in the program files directory. I'd rather not have to edit my registry if I don't have to. I can cause a lot of damage (me = chicken).
Any suggestions?

Right-click the steam icon and under the Interface settings uncheck Run Steam at windows start-up.
