Disturbing Trend

I was just checking out the stats and I noticed something disturbing. 3 of the top 5 players so far have over 100 suicides. This seems a bit odd. However, I also noticed that there are 2 who only have around 25. For you all who knows what this means, it's disturbing.

That part of the stats have been amended. I get a lot of suicides too. Most are because of mirror damage and the grenades a prime. They aren't intentional at least on my part.

Switching teams and switching characters also counts as a suicide I think. I know you die at your own hand everytime you switch characters while alive. That's why you should switch while dead.

well when I was runnen after either eagle eyes or rocketfly i dont remember which but when I would start beaten down they would rocket the ground and kill them self. I think this might be do to the fact that you do gain points for killen your self insted of just taking a death and letting others gain off you.

Yeah, I would like to add that Svvord has 164 deaths and 149 are from suicide...interesting.

I would also like to add that I havent played since thursday... the whole suicide thig is a little interesting.

hehe. Although i have various reasons for killing myself, most of the time they are accidental. I have found there are many times when it is good to kill yourself. For instance on warpath if the nme team manages a quick break on the points a good kill in console will put you back a spawn, you just might beable to get the guy who go through. Also another good time is in matchs on Cz2(command point) style maps once the scout caps a point the fastest way to get back to flags is to kill yourself, plus you get the addition of more grenades to cap more points.
Then there is the general suicide when you out of nades or are infected a good suicide will put you right back into the game. After all there is only so much time per map, and sometimes suicides add to the amount of stuff one can get done

Yea Qwest is a psycho player hehe but jac when it says 164 deaths and 149 suicides (or whatever) that doesnt mean 149 of his deaths were suicides it means he has had 149 suicides and 169 deaths (from other people) but anyway still THATS RIDICULOUS that means he blows himself up just to prevent being killed by other people and he doesit 1 times out of 2. Svvord if ur reading this man thats sad bro.

You don't have to change type immediately. Go to Multiplayes menu, then customize, and advanced. Uncheck Switch classes immediately. Now when you want to change classes you can pick the class and wait until you die in game and the next life will be the new choise you made.

Thanks Bada! I always wondered what it was for. I've always checked this box because I want to change NOW. But not knowing exactly why it was there I did not know it meant the next time you die.

I know that I end up killing myself a lot, most of the time it's accidental or because I am shooting rockets at someone who's right next to me when I have 20 life. Or when I am trying to RJ over a bunker on Warpath and only have 45 life. The worst one though is when I toss a grenade and a teammate runs over to it like they're gonna bring it back to me. Sheesh.

Right, just tested it.

The suicide bug is fixed, as a matter of fact you now loose 5 points for each suicide you do.
