I am having some issues with packet loss. I was having some smooth internet gaming for a few months, then slowly(or suddenly didn't really notice) I started having choke and loss problems. Nothing was changed to cause this to happen.

You got a few bad hops that are killing you. Take a look at hop #10. There's not much anyone can do about it. I had the same junk in Vegas for about two weeks.

It's actually hop #9 where the problem starts. Looks like New York has a couple of problems

I'm pretty sure the problem is either at or before hop #1. I get a consistant 70-90% packet loss to that.

You wouldn't be pinging only 118ms if you had that much packet loss on a 56K modem.

Then somethine else must be wrong, because as time has gone on, the packet loss on the first hop has jumped up more and more, to where on some tracerts I am getting 100% loss.

I'm still experiencing the packet loss. My ISP doesn't seem to be of much help at the moment. Any other suggestions?

End of september, so I still have some time that I have to live with this. I think my ISP fixed most of the packet loss problem, but now I have DNS issues, where after about 5-10 minutes I can no longer access sites but the ones I have already been to, unless I tell the browser the IP of the site that I want to go to.
