Has anybody tried this yet? I'm wondering if linking 2 monitors together (this is possible in Windows XP, 2000) will result in a panaromic view while playing TFC. Or will the view just get elongated horinzontally.

It'll be great for flight simulators though...

As far as I know, you have to have some funky software installed to do that. Kinda like a video wall uses. I know you can have two different windows open. ex: TFC and the forums in the other. But I'm not sure that you could get a panoramic view, or want to because of the nature of dual video cards and linking them in that manner. Plus, wouldn't there be a big space between the screens right in the middle where you usually are looking?

I think you can do this, but you have to move them very close to your head so the left monitor is all the left eye can see and the same with the right. This way you get binocular stereoscopic 3D vision. Of course, you'll get blinding headaches and it will impair your ability to drive a car later.. LOL

Actually, I have wondered about this too. I thought even Win98 had this capability. I remember Roofcutter mentioning in a post that he has had stats on one monitor while playing on the other, so he can see realtime updates. But that is not the same as both displaying game screens. It seems like your central focus would be between the monitors. That might be distracting.

For TFC and flight sims I would just love to have one screen be like a rear view mirror looking backwards. That could help you keep bogeys or spies off your six.
