The newest version of KaZaA Lite K++ has some nice little features built into it for all you copyright infringers ( )
The new version implements some security features to keep your happy downloading private. Some examples are:
Quote: | - Bad IP ranges, eg. the ones from the RIAA and others, are now blocked automatically by K++ thanks to the PeerGuardian IP range file. K++ blocks all these IP ranges from ever connecting to you (both TCP and UDP), and the connections are closed immediately without them getting a single bit from you.
- No-one can get a listing of ALL your files through a "Find all files from this user" command (you're still able to share, though).
- Port 1214 (aka Kazaa's port) is disabled so no-one can scan your computer to see if you're using Kazaa K++.
- Your search history isn't saved in the registry. |
It also has SpeedUp built right into it to accelrate your downloads, and stuff like that.

aye, sometimes I'm tempted to turn off the ports on the switch for the people that are webcasting because it makes me lag in DOD. _________________

That's just it - all our gaming ports were blocked last term, so I (and Greebo) couldn't join you in TFC over the last year. So, let's download loads of stuff, cost the university money due to the terrible network bandwidth package they have, get Sony et al on their backs, and satisfy our musical/film needs.
Should we be allowed to play again next term, I'll stop with the p2p and start with the low-bandwidth gaming
But I doubt that'll happen... |
