Anyone using Steam?

I've been using Steam for the past week or so (mainly waiting for the HL2 videos). Is anyone else online with Steam?

Maybe we can play checkers or something....

i heard steam was really buggy and that they were still working the kinks out. Other than that is it useful for anything yet. I really don't know much about it and would like too.

There may be a few bugs, as it is still a beta, but it's been working fine for me. Check out www.steampowered.com for more info.

I played a few hours of Steam TFC and there are a few minor changes:

1. new map Ravelin. It's reverse CTF so you take your flag to enemy base.
2. in dustbowl, the attackers are given a 2nd doorway through which to exit on the 2nd stage. Also, the side tunnel has been modified to provide more of an advantage to the attackers
3. engys can build teleporters, which adds a whole new dimension to the game.

Has there been any talk of establishing a Ville server for the Steam beta?

I been fooling around with it. After a bitch of a time getting it to work it looks good. I just played CS for the first time .
