Server Monotony

Hey, can we please use one of the servers to play some new maps or even different maps? What ever happened to forest? I would sure enjoy playing the new DOD maps rather than Caen and Anzio. Even if both servers aren't changed, just having one changed would be great. What do you guys think?

Forest was taken off tv4 about 2 weeks ago due to some server issues. Later next week the server will be upgraded, and forest will return to the rotation. At that time we may try some of the other maps for variety between the 2 servers.

But.. Caen and Anzio will more than likely remain on both servers because those 2 along with avalanche are the most popular maps. We want to keep these servers full.

TV1 has a 6 map rotation right now, and tv4 is at 5. Thats a decent variety. Many of the other maps just dont draw, and drop the server population fast. The last thing we want is the server to clear.

ahh alright, because personally Anzio and Caen are the maps I hate the most. Everytime I see those maps I don't join. I think Flash and Kalt and forest as well, are a lot more fun. But if you really think taking Caen off the server will clear it out than I guess you have to do what you have to do.

Does everyone here really like Caen and Anzio that much?

Im all up for new maps, As a matter of fact we tried a few on friday. But unfortunatly MOST of those new custom maps are very poorly designed and do nothing but crash our servers...

Caen and Anzio are easily in my top 5 of favorite maps. I can't describe why i like them so much but i still find them challenging and enjoyable and would be very very very very sad if they were removed from TV1 and TV4 and we wouldn't want to make Powdermilkman cry

I liked that Chemile BR that we were playing the other day. It was a little big, but once I got around it a few times. I started to appreciate it. I still Anzio, not to big on the new Caen. My favorite is the one with the flag 3 in the middle that requires two people to get it. I think its either Overlord or Avalanche.

I <3 avalanche. I dont really like caen. Too much camping going on. Anzio gets a little llamaish and brings out my evil ultra-competitive side, but it rewards teamwork and punishes its absence. For that reason alone anzio should stay here imho.

Yeah, I guess your all right about Anzio. Now that I think about it, I guess I haven't liked it, because it seems I always end up on the llamaish team! lol. Your absolutely right about the teamwork thing... That would be a great map if mostly all experienced players were on, because I can't stand sitting at a location for 5 minutes such as the bridge, with a llama sniping from the balcony who doesn't jump down for 5 seconds to cap the point.
