the stats uses the players WON ID, so if your dad was using your CD key, you guys would be sharing the same stats.

Well it might not happen but it might. If you erase eveything off the other comp(halflife). Then try to reload it and it doesnt ask for the CD key then its a problem. You will have to go into a certin place and change the number. I am not sure to where it is exacly located my bro got it working for me. If you have a problem with it refer to John's tip section and he might know. If he doesnt someone should. That is only if it does not ask you for the CD key when loading the softwear again.

Thanks for the quick reply Rata-Tat-Tat, I installed it and it asked for the CD-Key the first time I ran the program then I checked it out.... everything is working as it should |

Just trying to get the n00b off my name here.
No, really, I know where the HL CD Key is stored and can change it at will on my pc.
Not really good unless you have more than 1 cd key, heh.
I also have a VBScript that will allow you to change the key on a computer. Anyone trust an Idiot who is handing out VBScript files?
Let me know if you want/need this info.

I have two machines at home on my home network that have the same CD key loaded so that my daughter and I can play. I have promised her that when we get DSL again (and she has had enough practice) that we can play together on The Ville. Well I don't want to really reinstall if I can help it because it is already configured the way she likes, so when I buy another Half-life CD I would just like to be able to change the key number where it resides on the PC.
Please e-mail me with the info. THANKS!
