I absolutely hate charter. Every evening I get to deal with this crap. Im better off with dialup I swear.

The pings are the second row next to the name. So TV1 603ms...booooo

LOL if it isn't Comcast its Charter. Here in the DFW area we have it pretty bad. If you want high speed internet for your home these are your choices. Comcrap adn Charter for cable and Verizon and SBC for DSL. AT&T and others are small time in the DSL market, but our choices are pretty limited.

So far my results since comcast took over AT&T in my area have
been slightly improved. AT&T was routing all my traffic through
some peering point in New Jersey. (Hint, I live in Utah.)

I feel your pain, Blown. The past few weeks I haven't been able to get a ping better than 130 on any HL server. It used to be 50-60 all the time. Although being on opposite coasts, our connections probably don't have anything in common except the Charter name. And the suckage.

Yeah, Charter blows the big one. When they first started out in Texas, they were great. But ever since Charter Pipeline, their service has gone straight down the tube. And while they're not as bad as AOL yet, they like to lie in their commercials too

I use Earthlink DSL and I have not had many issues. Very good at getting a tech to check the line.

Damn!!!! I am 19 hops away from TV 1 and I ping in at 77ms from NC ... I got anywhere between 230ms and 270ms there when I was on a 56k. Why don't you contact the B.B.B or the F.C.C and see what they say ?

I use SSSNET, though it is aviliable only in my area, and usually ping Tv5 at about 60 - 70, but I am on a laptop, and my network card is not the greates, so It would be better (Shadow brought his comp over once and pinged at 34)
