I was thinking of going ahead and giving it a try until I read the installation instructions...

Installation Instructions
1. Simply point the installer to your main half-life directory. Please do not point the installer to your half-life\dod directory.

2. Load up Counter-Strike and connect to your favorite server!

re bumps this up... And if u have any questions go and ask the folks at dod about the fix here? see if it is not a mirror link to getting the dod fix for 1.0? these are just my thoughts and input here on this... hope you all get this choke thing figured out and fixed soon...
