I have noticed that more and more females are playing TFC lately. This has brought me to realize the lack of female characters in the game. To accomodate the ever growing multisex environment I propose this:
Heavy Weapons Girl! Whoa Bertha!
Instead of medics we could have nurses!
Hellooooo NURSE!
Maybe instead of scouts we could have brownies! Would you like some cookies!
Demwoman? laying 10 year "debt" pack!
I personally would like to see a woman fill out a spy suit! Frisk me cuff me call me Shirley!
But for now, be carefull when you say gj guys! I believe the pc term is gj team at least that's what I use. It is also customary to date a woman before throwing your nades at her! LOL
I think we all appreciate the challenge ladies. Just wish we could replace all the hopeless, lifetime newbs with mic's, with ladies. They would be much kinder to the ear.

Have you seen how square the soldiers rear is? You wont catch me playing a soldier unless I'm desperate. At lease in Unreal I could choose my body! (Any womans dream)

Thing is, marketing wise, having all males sells more then having a lot of girl chars.

Y'know why?

Look at Game Boy. Boys and Girls play that...

but then, look at barbie. The occasional pyschological redundant male might play with it, but no boys will play with it.

If someone makes a game with only female chars, then most likely most of the male population won't buy it. But with a guy char, boys AND girls will buy it.

Theres a really good example of a game with all female characters, and Space Channel 5. The marketing is aimed at both genders, male and female. On one hand both have ass kicking heroines, on the other have you seen how they look? I look at Lara Croft and try to imagine the anatomy and skelatal structure her upper body must have to have such huge "assets" up there, there's no room for anything else but them. And as the games progressed form Tomb Raider to Tomb Raider 3 and that playstation one they just got bigger.

They teach us all about that kind of marketing at the Art Institute. Some friends of mine getting their degree in graphic design say that their instructor for one of their digital editing classes showed them the trick to airbrush female models and told them to always make their busts bigger, legs longer, and waists thinner. That's what market the best, so that's the kind of tips we get. Well not me I'm an animator, they just tell us to draw like crazy.

You know, I used to think that females dont like to play videogames cause of the gameplay. But after getting to know some of them, I realise that very few females are offneded by these really violent games, most of them are even less offendable than I am. Then I thought its cause most videogames characters are males, and I figured that they dont like playing as a male. But after playing Perfect Dark (whose main character is a female, and a hot one at that), I didnt care if I was a woman, and actually enjoyed it. Mainly cause its a bad ass game. So what then?? Cycomom, could you shed some light on why females dont play videogames very much?

Maian. Women have the same drives we do over all. Some will like this and some won't.
My wife who you would not suspect as being aggressive if you met her played paint ball on a whim. Next thing I know shes got the full face paint, down in the dirt crawling up and blasting the opposing team. She screamed like a scot warrior with a sword charging the enemy incampment. About 2 years and a 1000 paint balls later we finialy gave up playing but she never stopped the intense game play till the last.
So my point is Women or Man you just can't assume how anyone will react to anything.
I better not show this post to her she just might pay me a visit....LOL SPLAT owwwwww...

I think it is great that more of the female gender are playing here. I was getting afraid that this would be just a big circle jerk. When I play, which is on Sat or Sun morning mostly, I had notice that a few women would come in, but would be run off by some dirty mouthed idoit noob. It would piss me off. I also had not release that many women do play TFC until I ran across the Girl Power servers that are ran by some guy, go figure.
