/me has NEVER heard anyone use the words "those are" in a situation such as this, and ponders hoax's sanity 
By the rules of english, you're probably right, hoax. But I'd say, most people in America don't use proper english anymore, and things such as "That's 2 words" have been dubbed the correct wording to use.
I think "That is", would be the correct term to use in this scenario, only because most people don't speak proper english anymore.
