Their must be a change in the weight the classes have snipers and engies are simple to play. So why do they carry so much on the stats? .75 for a sg? .75 for a charge beam sniper shot? 1.00 for a AR ?!? head shots are pretty good at depiction but sg should be .50 charge beam .50 yada yada sg is less risky then a HWG and kills people cheaply atleast you run a risk and must aim on a HWG.

Is there any kind of stat committee? People who decide what stat should be where? I mean I know the admins are in control but are you sure you know what your doing? I don't want to sound demeaning. The servers are great. The only problem is class stats... Just curious.

There is a web site for this program. The guy who was running it is no longer working on it as far as I know. Things may have changed now or someone else may have picked up the reigns.
Remember these are programs available on the internet for free. Written by people who for one reason or another do this for no money. thru there generosity they build them and give them away. When they are tired of it or move on tho other things the programs just sit as left.
If any programers are out there have at it. You can go download it and see what you can do.
There are other programs out there but for one reason or another they aren't for here.
There is a long history of this and I'm sure as soon as a better program comes along Robert will get it up. I know he's searching all the time.
Until then were stuck.
My beef is no score for sg busting. That is the worst for me.
If you would like to Google it please feel free there could be something I missed in my own search. I found out that were stuck for now.

Well, I know from reading previous posts that the admins did not create or have any control of how the stats programs works. This is currently the best one out there even though greatly flawed. So let people like Sword take advantage of this until someone can find a better stats program.

Yeah, the person who wrote the stats were definitly in favor of engineer and sniper. The classes where you actually have to get out there and get down and dirty get shortchanged. HW Guys especially, like Rata said, we have to crawl our big butts out there and do battle with their entire team sometimes and we get a mere .5 modifier for it. To be POTW we'd have to average more than 2500 kills a week with minimal deaths. That'd be some serious hours of play.
I know the stat programs are set in stone, and I'm happy to be in the top 10 every week I seriously play, just like to see how I do vs the rest of the ville and others on my class.

The skill modifiers for weapons CAN be changed. We're at happy medium right now.
Everyone has a different point about every weapon, but we can't just go changing things because some player takes advantage of his class and hides.
The stats can't stop players from playing the way they do. It doesn't matter what program is used. If someone goes and builds an sg and hides and never gets killed, the stats will be the same.
There are other stats programs out there, some are better I'm sure. But none are real time. What's the big deal about real time? Nothing really, the only other option that other programs have is to manually run batch files on the logs every morning. Then moving all of the html files to the server, not to mention getting the logs from 3 other server locations via FTP... All of this is too time consuming for me. That's why we use HLstats.

Granted you should get points for taking out sg's and mg's, but otherwise the stats are fine. I have played against people that just will not allow me to keep a gun up. It gets really frustrating keeping those guns up during airstrikes, mirv's, and spys chucking gas nades all around. An sg and mg can be taken out very easily. You should get points foe taking them down but Im happy with the points I get for mowing you down!

I have to agree with both sides.
As a regular HW player....I often feel short changed at the end of a hard fought week to find myself (gennerally) out of any of the top honors.
Those neo mods totally favor engys ang it is unfair there is no points for destroying them (sg's & mg's).
I have seen my fellow HW's start playing other classes to attempt to bolster their skill ratings.
I think there must be a more ballanced system that would still offer real time stats. We will just have to keep looking until we find it.
I'm not sure why I decided to write in this thread...whatever I'm done now
