Well as per normal I'm totally lost on this one.
Where do I go and what do I do to see what mine is and how do I adjust it. I don't know if ping has anything to do with choke but I normally run with a ping of 100 + and wouild like less. |

You type "net_graph 3" (w/o quotes) in console and on the bottom right of your screen, you will see choke, along with some other things. net_graph 2 and net_graph 1 displays graphs and stuff. _________________

If you see a high choke number, just stand still and let them kill ya. |

If you type net_graph 03 in your console (yes, I believe you need the zero), it should bring up an information box in the bottom right corner of your screen. It should say 'Choke: #' somewhere in there. 0 choke is optimal. If you're getting around 30 choke you're lagging bad. It has to do with system settings. I haven't needed to tweak my choke, so I have no idea how. _________________

I've never had to put the 0 myself. |

99.9% to 100.00% it is your client that causes teh choke.
You like in the TFC select server brought to you by the game and you say you have a t1 and then you get the download from a T1 sever at a high high high and set up to be pure rate.
1337 mentioned the things to look at in a another post and look at those with choke.
Choke is not sever side. It is folks messing with client side data recieve rates.
I have done it before. But I have told my config I am DSL and my rates.
If you go above what you have you will choke out, Espc since the ville 1 is on a T1 dedicated line.
And tfc the game itself is not cpu intensive. It they ran UT 2003 and I lagged I would blame the server but not for a simple engine like HL has
