hey species if the trouble is caused by the ram then it is a motherboard issue. some of the older boards don't support splitting the ram up . windows on the other hand doesn't have a problem with it . i've been doing it for years with everything from 95 to xp .
but most likely it is caused by the M.E operating system and has nothing to do with the ram. M E has some major bugs .But if you work with it ,M E can be a good sys. I use it myself and have had to resolve several issues . Have you installed any new programs lately ?if so try uninstalling them and see if it helps .
