ok but when i try to open a model to change it, it has to be .ms3d

1st Step- Open up Milkshape3D
2nd-Go to 'Tools' then Kratiso's HL Decompiler
3rd-Decompile the model, spy, scout, whatever
4th-go to 'File', 'Import", 'HL SMD'
I think you can edit it then, I could be completely wrong (probably am) but that's how you view models at least in Milkshape  |

you can edit it from there. My problem is that my ms3d's trial period ran out, and I have to pay 25 bucks to use it again

Do what I do, change the date on your PC before you open and then reset it when your done. My 30 day CuteFTP trial has never run out.
