The Space Shuttle Columbia has broken up in the atmosphere, I suggest that you all go watch whats goin on, especially anyone in Dallas Texas.

I heard about this in NPR. Did you know the shuttle that broke up had the first ever Isralie astronaut on it?

almsot 17 years to the day( off my leik 3-4) of the last time a shuttle blew... my god i forget the name right now. but i was sjut watching it on cnn for a bit... sad sad day

I still remember watching the lauch of Challenger... I was pregnant with my son then. I remember being so horrified as I watched the events unfold. It was so surreal. I cannot believe this has happened again. My heart goes out to the loved ones of those who lost their lives today.

My mom was pregnant with me at the time too... I was born in september, i guess this is my second experience too...

Damn, what a sad way to start the new year.

This was the first spaceflight for 3 of the 7. ugh

..and for the other tangent on tis thread...I was 6 and remember watching the Challenger on TV...it was so shocking...
