It's rare where even the best players can dominate on a bad team. Even the best has had bad maps due to bad teams. It happens to everyone of every level. When I'm on a "good" team I "can" go 77-2. When I'm on a bad team it can be 60-35. I'm not suddenly bad, it's just the team ability reflects my score. So in essence your teamwork makes you better. Teamwork is something not always displayed either hehe. What's the point? Communicate and win.

You are absolutly right about teamplay affecting your score Frag. For instance, when defending CP 3 in Avanti, if you have the whole team helping each other out, HW's covering engies while they build, scouts uncovering spies, snipers and Demo's keeping everyone else at bay, CP 3 is virtually uncapturable. What happens alot of the time is, you have alot of players rushing down to CP 2 and this thins the defence and maybe 1 or 2 engies are left defending which any class can take out pretty easily. My point is is that think about how your actions are affecting the team and chances are that, if you practice good teamplay, your stats will improve greatly.

Just my two cents worth.

Ah teamwork...a word I haven't heard for a while. I remember the best game I have ever played (in terms of organized teamplay) Was a ctf game of UT on a clanserver. On our team there were 3 clan members and another 4 pubbers, and on the other team there were 3 other clan members and 5 pubbers. The clan guys were so organized, we all worked together and created a strategy to cap the flag, we had 2 men defending the flag with rls and miniguns, then we sent in two teams of 2 and 3 ppl. The team of 3 went in and distracted the enemies, while the team of 2 went in and grabbed the flag. I am guessing that this was a clan tactic, because the clan members on the enemy team all rushed to our base and grabbed the flag, and the next 20 minutes of the game was a complete stalemate, as neither of us could cap the flag without our flag in the base. The game was 45 mins long and it ended with a score of 1-1, it was one of the most intense gaming experiences ever.

Maybe the best thing to do when stuck with a bad team is to try to make it better. It sucks to see a good player join a bad team, realize he's on a bad team, and just leave. A lot of beginner and intermediate players are willing (and often eager) to take advice from experienced players. Even if you don't want to tell people what to do, you can help by playing a different role than you normally would, if your team needs it. (If you see a lot of caps on my stats page, that means I've been playing on a lot of bad teams.)

Like I told Kronic when he was crying about his team. "Play Harder"

I am an average player and have been on some bad teams. The thing I do is try to make the other team pay for being to good. It works at times blowing SGs and killing anyone I see, will open a hole for my team or just make the other team mad. Both ways I have fun, good team or bad.
