That's right, a crowbar challenge.

Starting January 20th at noon, 'Ville time, I would like to see just how high we can get the crowbar moved up the weapon stats ladder in two weeks.

Anyone interested in participating?

No prize (unless someone is willing to throw one in), except the challenge of who can get the most crowbar kills and the satisfaction of knowing that you helped get the crowbar the use it deserves.

This isn't a race to see which individual can get the most, but a challenge to see how high up we can get a lesser used weapon within two weeks time.

I don't want to be the party breaker, but I'm afraid this will disrupt gameplay a little too much. What we will see is some players going around swing crowbars, while others not liking this and trying to play TFC will get pissed off.

In any case 2 weeks of that is too much IMO

How about the crowbarers go to TV3 which is almost always empty. But what ever happened to just being able to run around with a crowbar? So now things are more towards having a real game instead of having a fun time?

Someone once mentioned to me I was wrong to congratulate a player who had a 20/1 k/d ratio, as that player was probably more thinking about his stats than helping his team. Now, tell me how walking around swinging a crowbar just to get club stats help your team?

Don't get me wrong, I'm doing a proof of concept by the absurb. I think this is a fun idea. But for two weeks?? I think not. I will be tired of the whole thing very soon.

Why do you think I suggested to use a server that is always empty? I think there should be more fun things like this going on. Why do you think I went bad like I did. Because all I could see was people playing in order to win, not to have fun. I still see this. People play not to have fun anymore. I would hope that this can bring back some of the fun from theville's beginnings.

I don't know Borg, maybe you are right. It depends of your definition of fun. I certainly have fun when I log at The Ville. I do not necessarily play to win, however I usually try to do my best for my team. I think that going crowbar fight can be fun, but only for a time. I remember going random sometimes for fun, but after a time I go back to playing classes I like.
Fun can also be when you side with 1-2 teammates and attack the flagroom together to disrupt Acropolis or Flagrun defense. it is also helping the local engy in FR as a soldier or HWG support. Or doing a difficult conc out of the FR in unexpected ways. Or kill Mike Rotch when he's about to cap (lol sorry about that one Mike ).

For me TFC is a team game, and is fun when played as a team. Ville players are usually conscious of this fact, in a relaxed way, and for me it is fun to play here because of that.
