Medics..

I've mentioned this once a LONG time ago in a post to Mike Roach.

If I kill you, you just respawn so I tend to kill only those farthest from respawn or snipers. If I infect you, you are weaker and possibly in a mild state of panic. You may infect others and eventually cause mass hysteria. You might charge the front lines (which I consider your best option by the way) but not being fully healthy should be able to be dealt with by the those behind me. You may decide to "kill" yourself and even though I don't get the point for that I feel I've won a minor victory for the team since it is a FULL 5 seconds before you get to respawn. This keeps you out of the battle for longer than if I'd killed you myself

So by all means commit suicide when infected. I may not get many points that way, but my team will pwn yours'.

I wish that I was a good medic. This is a very powerful class, evidenced by the fact that is becoming a very popular class on The 'Ville, a server filled with talented players.
It's always a huge relief to find that I have a good medic on my team. Don't have to worry about infections, and often I get a health boost. These are two crucial things for a soldier.
I think you can argue that good medics are more useful to soldiers than any other class. The soldier tendency to have self inflicted injury leaves us wide open to an enemy medics infection. I have died many times when I tried to rocket jump to a cap while infected and didn't realize that my health had gotten as low as it did. Also, it's cool to perform a rocket jump when you are at 150% health because you're almost at full fighting strength when you land.
All new medics should take a page out of CycoDad's "How to be a Medic" book and remember that healing and health boosting your own team is at least as important as attacking the other team. My hat is off to you Dad, you are a great teammate when you are a med.

I was going to stay out of this posting but I just can't. I have been playing medic lately and as far as I am concerned the longer I can keep the enemy from capping the better. I will try and do as much damage to the opposition as possible. First priority is to keep your team healthy. Next cause hysteria where ever I can any way I can. The enemy will sooner or later put on a medic if they haven't already and he should be keeping his side heathly and staying away from the good guys. After you receive my vaccine you will commit suicide, panic, or take out as many enemy as you can. It does not matter to me cause you will die soon if you are not healed.
