I have sat in chat with Danno on many occasions discussing how to make TV1 a more popular server. All Danno wanted from day one was a good server that was full all the time. He waited a long time for this to happen and it never did. He switched it to DOD and it was full 15 minutes later and stayed full for the entire weekend.
THings people are saying:
"Blowns server just isnt the same as danno's"
How so? I know blown pretty well and if you want changes to make it more like TV1 was ask him he's a very resonable guy
blowns it alright, but not many people there from what i've seen, idk, no offense, but i like tv1 at tfc
People were/are divided between TV3 and TV6 once everyone picks there favorite it will be semi busy like TV1 was.
7 - Private...
Had 12 people on yesterday playing leauge maps.
I really think what it comes down to is useage. TV1 as tfc was empty over 1/2 the time. As DOD its full nearly all the time. It only makes sence to keep the servers full.

I changed the map rotation a tad so it has more of the TV1 maps
2fort and well are gone,
acropolis2 and warpath are now added
ya wanna know what is comical to me, the majority of you that are complaining about TV1 being gone are actually from the west coast.  |

I say, Actions speak louder than words do. It's like trying to find out what your kids like and dislike to eat, you won't know until you put the plate out infront of them and see what they prefer. In this case the kid picked DOD. Danno deserves a fat kid after all the work he has put into it..

I played on Vl last night no lag it was nice. Well i'm on the west coast and blown made it fun there where only a couple of us in there but we had fun. It's good to goof of sometimes in the game c-bar fights esc. Well anyways I give 2 thumbs to Blown for his server Thanks

I like Blown's server, but I don't know if I would describe the difference in ping as "comical". Ironic maybe, frustrating for sure. You're in my backyard, but it takes longer for my packets to make the trip.

Good one! After all, how many different servers have acted as TV1 over the years? Anyone still remember when it was considered sacrilege to have maps other than Avanti on TV1?
What I wanna know is what is wrong with TV3? It seems to be running nicely right now, after whatever weirdness it may have suffered in the past. I'm on the East Coast and get a 40-50 ping there now. It's got the almighty Flagrun in rotation. Get your asses to TV3, peeps!
Or go to TV6 and roll the dice. That's fun, too.

from 80 to 110, I don't think too big a difference in play. You just have to adapt a liitle your concs.

TV3 seems to be working good. Prob just needs restarted more often. I'm pingin 130's which is just fine by me.  |

My sentiments exactly! The server owner is the decision maker and after all the hard work he has contributed to the Ville.org without pay or reward, he gets first choice...
My only question is WTF is wrong with TV2?? Why don't we fill that server up?
Blue Ruler and I go there every evening and try to draw players. Its hard to do especially when you are sitting on the server for an hour before anyoneone starts to show up. Maybe you could talk warhammer into making TV2 into a TFC server? |

No matter how many posts you make on this, the owner doesn't have to do anything! They could make it any mod they want or put on any password or anything you can think of, without getting our permission.
Making TV2 a tfc server isn't a bad idea. I never see anybody go there and I didn't even know it was up. ASE always says that it's down.
And whoever said that TV1 was always the popular TFC server has no memory! I remember when that server was completely empty for a few months while TV2 had neo. Then before that, it was TV4, right?
In conclusion, I say keep TV1 on DoD, mainly because we had too many tfc server we couldn't fill up and the private server is only fun with people on it.
