What kinda mother board/bios do you have? What exactly do the beeps sound like? Does your computer work with the old video card? _________________ The most hated.

Bobins the same thing happened to me when I insalled a new vid card, monitor did not work and it beeped. Beeps usally mean a video or mem problem. I was also told that I had to disable the on board video before the new video adaptor would be detected. I did that and reinstalled the vid card at least 3 times to make sure it was seated correctly.
Hate to say this but none of the above worked and yes all the cables were plugged in and the card was out of the box . So I took my card back to the comp shop where I purchased it they tested and found it to be a bad card. They gave me a new one and it worked after the first install.
Good luck and I hope ya get the card to work for ya _________________

This would be helpful.

It depends on your system and/or motherboard. It can be done with the bios or with jumpers on your motherboard. _________________

There's a good chance that on a fairly old motherboard with built-in video, there will be a jumper right by the graphics chip that controls the "enable/disable"...
Usually 3 pins... sadly, they're not labelled well... |

Bobins I had a similar problem when I installed my G-Force3 card. Getting the latest Nvidia Drivers helped that. Before the latest drivers I had to play with the Driver's Open_GL settings - not in TFC, but under "Display Properties/Settings" _________________

No way. I can't even get 20 fps off my geforce2. How did you get so lucky to get that framerate. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

I am still down there with my framerate. I got to talk to you sometime about your system. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |
