I really think the map is going to be a big influance. In push pyros are at a huge disadvantage, because they do not have nades and all a heavy has to do is sit around and massacure the pyros as they walk by. But in a map like badlands, pyro's speed and icjump ability will give them an advantage. Heavys would have to bring there huge butts over to the enemy base everytime they die, and if they had the flag in the yard it would be loaded with napalm. Plus heavys cannot (well unless you try some HH nade jump 1337 ness) jump into the FR well. In a map like 2fort depending on the pyros skill on O, one could take 2 paths out of the basement, where heavys (also thinking you're not going to do some major double nade HH 1337ness ) can only go up the spiral. In a map like well, both are at a disadvantge because you are either going to need to run up the elevators, or walk the catwalk. With some good placed nades and ic shots the heavys can get beat up pretty badly on that map, same thing for pyros. On a map like casbah neither team would have a technical disadvantge, but heavies could spam mirvs and take out a whole fleet of pyros, while napalm only does some damage.

Well, it depends on the skill level of each individual whether if one is a skilled HW or a skilled Pyro. LPB hws with skilled aim and mad throws can take down a pyro real quick within close quarters IMHO. Both Rata and Powers are good at that and I'm pretty sure they can kill ne pyro quick. Point, shoot and follow the pyro and end it with a primed grenade will do. Whether the nade is primary or secondary it will finish the pyro off.

However, pyros are pretty strong themselves. They can throw nap nades on the floor and leave the hw to burn. If the HW was smart enough to jump out of the fire and use his ssg then quick switch to his AC while priming his nade it would increase his chances. Pyros are quick and can blind people with their flame thrower, strafe around and decrease h/a. HW's are slow, but lethal if you get too close to them. Like I said, it depends on the skill level of the HW and pyro.
