When I first started playing back in the day I only had a 450 PII with 96 megs of RAM. Basic graphics card and all the other basic stuff. My game play improved the more I played. Being the only machine I had I was adjusted to it and didn't notice a difference in gameplay till my next machine. I had stepped up in the graphics department and my gameplay improved considerably. Now on my 3rd machine which is a 1.8 P4 with 768 megs of RAM , great graphics card and surround sound, not to mention cable modem, the game just seems to flow soooo much better. It's just a matter of adjusting to what you have infront of you. It was hard at first to adjust but once I got used to it I definitely saw improvement in my abilities. _________________

My system specs:
PIII 450
Intel SE440-BX2 mommyboard
256 PC100 SDRAM
16MB Viper 550 AGP
Hard Drives are Ultra2 SCSI, so that helps
SB Live!
3Com 905-B network card
When I'm not sharing our DSL with way too many people, my ping stays nice and low... (60-120)... about 30 fps...
still playable, IMO |
