I'm a big Patrick O'Brian fan and in the late 1700s and early 1800s sailors would call someone a good 'un. That lingo is all through those books. So that's how I always thought of it. I used the term Villun in a post and thought I was the first, but then I think I saw somone had beat me to it earlier. But it definitely did stick.... That's for sure.
