Let's see. Load up Steam, right click on lower right steam icon, select FRIENDS, click on OPTIONS, select EDIT PROFILE, enter your info. It doesn't have to be your real name, but something that diffs you from the others. Next, set your sounds for alerts, then OK. To add a friend, simply put in what supposively is listed in the thread (most don't work because most haven't entered in identifiable data in THEIR PROFILE.)
vTEC was easy, as his post on here is accurate, and if you just enter his username, the database will find a match and you just select it. Reb's won't work because if you put his in, it shows 2 players with the same name, until he adds more identifiable info in is profile. 
Speaker has no profile, Duffman, your profile is not listed with the first name of Joel, and there are a zillion Duffmans to choose from, Spotty's the same way, so is ROOFCUTTER (2 with the same name) Stevo (who want's him in their friends list, I'll never know) Sgt Stutter has no profile, Reaper's worked just fine, Mike's didn't, Mulder's worked, and there are 2 Jfet Zener's to choose from (Will the REAL Jfet please sit down)
Other than that, it seems to work ok. I just tested it out with Mulder, works fine as long as steam is running. So everyone, fill out your profiles so we can get it working.

Listen, knucklehead, give me a break. Don't you think I know that, along with everyone else on here? I was using YOU along with everyone else who has replied to this thread, to show what happens if they look up just names. If you wish NOT to participate, then simply NOT REPLYING will work just fine. Sheesh..
