That was the main reason I marched corps. I had a director that expected us to win all the time. Anything less, and you might as well quit, because you'd hear about how bad you were the next day... (We were state champs every year, but if we didn't outscore the class above us, it wasn't good enough.) I wanted to be with other kids who wanted to be there, with staff who knew their stuff, and were willing to accept your best. It didn't matter if it wasn't neccessarily *THE* best, but that you gave all you could. That and the fact that you get to travel all over the country and perform in front of thousands of cheering fans. Corps was the only reason I could stand to be in band. It gave me something to look forward to, and I knew that my director couldn't dish out anything I couldn't handle 10 times over. Kinky girls didn't hurt either...

My wife was part of the original tall flag group at San Diego State University.
She carried a 10 foot pole with a 3x5 foot flag. White vinyl go-go boots up to their knees and short-shortttt red with black border skirts.
Watching her snap that flag around was a thrill.
I was the photographer! Yes I had to sweat it out getting photos of the group in acton.
Her picture still hangs in the school as being part of the first group.
Ok guys nice thread thanks for bringing back such mammaries!

| It's all because I'm a bit small, but a kid smaller than me was carrying low bass. I can't do anything during the summer, I'm away. |
