Are you talking about that moment where he climbs the stairs leading to the tank near the axis respawn, and then he shoot 3-4 guys?? I'm sorry, but I have to disagree here. I t was pretty obvious that guy was there, you can hear him coming.

Frankly, I saw NOTHING in that demo about cheats. I saw a player always doing the same run, missing more shots that he succeeds, and being shots from several angle. Seems to me he he got walls, he would have know some of these players were there.

If that was a conclusive video, call me Santa Claus. Unless I don't have the right one, because in no moment I saw Apathy in an enclosed room like 10 yrds described.

Well he got banned from cal because of this match. I think those admins are pretty up to speed on what's cheating and what isn't.

I wasn't talking about the tank. Watch the way he is always looking at the walls, the he will turn around all of a sudden when he sees someone through them. I didn't hear some of the guys he tracked down, but then again HLTV demos may not have the same sound quality as the game.

Well I don't know.... I watched that demo in first person view, and this guy reacted exactly as I would in the situation he was in (though I wouldn't have died as often... ). It was fairly predictable were the guys are gonna be, if you look at each run, they are always in the same location.

When I play a game, I often look toward a wall, because I'm trying to figure out which direction the sound I hear is coming from. This may not be obvious for someone not using earphones though. I also point toward every usual hiding points, and even shoot one or two shots in case someone is there.

Frankly, if that guy was banned because of *that* particular video, well I could be in big trouble if I was playing in a league. He is not using aim, because he miss half of his shots, same with grenades, and I was better than him to predict where the guys were when he got shot. So if he was using walls, when I'm better than him even without them And I'm not exceptional, mind you. I'm sure Ten Yard can do just as well as that.

However, I'm still puzzling over what ten yard said. Clearly, what he described is not in this demo, and that may be why I don,t understand that ban.

It's a few minutes in when he goes into the building left of the tank.

Rename the demo file as apathy.dem

open steam, start dod. At the DOD start page, open the console, and type:

playdemo apathy.dem

Watch it. Left click to switch between players, space bar to change the POV.

It's compressed with winrar, hence the .rar. Use the program winrar to extract it. get it here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Extract the .dem file to your c:\program files\steam\steamapps\youremail\day of defeat\dod folder.

once it's there fire up dod, pull down the console and type playdemo <demoname> in this case the demo name is apathy-0406152031-dod_saints.dem

or if you want vcr like controls type viewdemo apathy-0406152031-dod_saints.dem in the console.

It's an HLTV demo so use your mouse buttons to change the player to [gimp]apathy

I was bored and watched it again and I really don't see much that looks like he has no walls. Maybe once or twice, but nothing really that conclusive.

But I guess if the cal admins banned him for cheating then they must have seen something.

I wonder if it could be something else.... at the beginning of the demo, there is a discussion about a player not having legit rate... could it be about that?
