.....So, I thought you might want to check out a DVD burner with some software that will allow you to put together video clips and pictures. Maybe?

Hamese, assuming you have one, what burner and software do you use?

Oddly enough the only real computer in my house is the one in my MAME cabinet (Blantent Plug). My dad has a newer Sony PC with a DVD Burner. Last year I pieced together a DVD of my nephew's birthday party with the pics and video I took from my Canon S230. The software was the Sony default stuff called something Shaker (maybe video shaker?) It is real basic, but it allowed me to string together both the pics and video, adding fade in/out's, text over both, and music in the background. From there it goes to the sony DVD creator that allowed me to use one of many default DVD menu's, split the video into chapters, and burn it to play in our DVD players. All in all it is very simplistic and limited, but I was able to do what was needed and it works well in the new DVD players.

The memory interface of video cards have a large impact on their performance. Standard now for cards is a 128 for mainstream and 256 for high end. 64 bit memory interfaces severly limit the performance of what would otherwise most likely be good video cards.
