new 12ms lcd monitor. |
Yeah Tom's did a review on that one. Problem is it's only a 17''. I'm spoiled and need 19'' or better
Anyways, I got a Sony HSX93 very nice, very expensive, but it has a game setting on it which sets the gamma and other settings brighter and dod looked pretty good. It's still not as good as a crt, but I'm willing to live with it to have a 13lb 19" monitor that has 800:1 contrast ratio.
I think the response time is 25ms, but I haven't noticed any ghosting, it took a me a few rounds to get used to it, but on lighter maps(avalanche, mederet) I think it looks better than a crt.
Edit: THe folks at circuit city are not too bright. The girl that was helping me with the monitor kept saying yeah lcd's are better than CTR's. CTR instead of CRT. |

I would gladly get a LCD display and had seriously thought of doing so this past December but I was unable to find a 19" with a good contrast ratio and 16ms refresh that was affordable. I bought two 19" flat panel monitors for less than half of what I would have paid to get a LCD with the features I wanted. I am going to wait for the prices to come down and the features to become more common. _________________

Ya I read Toms review which doesnt suprise me that he said the exact opposite of two other sites. TomsHardware=worthless unreliable reviews. You just never know if your getting a good review at that place.
I need a 19" myself cause right now I run a 20" CRT and I dont wanna go backwards to a 17". |
