I use some pos microsoft mouse. It has 2 buttons plus the wheel, but the mouse ball is kinda messed up and it has trouble rolling around. I'm probably going to get one of those laser mice soon though.

We're all using optical mice but they are an off brand by the name of Inland. Only $9.00 each and they work great. 5 button with scroll, probabaly from the same manufacturer as microsofts! I had a razer mouse and liked it but when these optical mice came out the razer got put away. No more cleaning the Ball cavity for me or keeping a mouse pad handy and aligined.
You never know, some day soon maybe the games will be played out in our heads. Just jack our heads into some console and go. Than when an admin yells at you you better listen cause admin slap is going to hurt.

Like cstone, I use the MS Optical Mouse - 5 button variety. 2 side buttons for nades. center button (#5 - scroll wheel) for detdispenser while playing engi. I find it very effective to quickly blowup someone when i get the ol' "Enemies are using your dispenser" message. Never had a prob and it never needs cleaning. tracks perfect on any surface.

Ironic that Magoo, uses an optical mouse no??

I used to use a Logitech Trackman marble, but when I got my new system with the regular Microsoft mouse (2 button w/wheel) I switched to that and instantly became a better sniper. The thumb trackball was very comfortable to use but is not too accurate for me. I haven't had problems with tracking since I keep my desk surface clean..

I just had to buy a new Trackman marble wheel mouse today because logitech couldn't replace the one that just failed. I guess I will need to keep two on hand so when they go bad I will have a back-up.
I used to use a regular mouse back in my quake 2 days but find that the trackball is much more comfortable for extended playing. My arm used to feel like it was going to fall off after only a couple hours playing.
I am like superzero, I use all the default buttons and use absolutly no binds. I type everything I say as well. I could never come up with a witty phrase that wouldn't sound old after 2 or 3 times using it so I don't do that either.
I find that the logitech keyboard workes pretty well for gaming too. Even when it is covered in cigerette ashes and caked with coffee stains. LOL!

Dude, you guys are luck, if I had that kind of mouse, I would be ultimate sniper!!! But for me, Im playing on a laptop, and in turn, using a touchpad as a mouse. Its awful, you have to get used to t first, then when you are, its still hard to scroll. And your fingers start to hurt from dragging them too much, but oh well, its a nice laptop. I guess I should buy a new mouse, instead of using this touchpad.

My fav. all time mouse is the Logitech Wingman Gaming mouse.. but guess what? They don't make it anymore. I've had mine for nearly two years, I've never cleaned it.

My mice get extensive work outs, I'm on the computer all day and play games (AOE, Starcraft, TFC, Unreal, Sims.. hehehe) nearly every night for 4-10 hours.

I also use the Microsoft game commander for my left hand. I wouldn't play without it, I use it to switch weapons, jump, duck, etc. Only problem is that when you are pushing one button, it wont recognize another. So if you want to do the squat jump you have to program it in just that way or move to the keyboard.

I wish I could find another mouse as dependable as my Wingman though, we have an extra or two but eventually our supply will run out! hahaha

2 buttons and a scroll is all I have ever needed. I really don't like the optical mice, I can't control them at all. My mouse has a real heavy feel that helps. (Of course I take it apart about once a week to strape all the crap off of the ball and rods, but hey...whatever works)

And i've crammed all my controls into the number-pad area of my keyboard. So when I play my keyboards at a really strange angle and has a tendency to fall off my desk. And onto my toe. Who would have thought TFC could cause so much real pain?

Ok..ok, so I use the mouse that came with the computer (like those belts you throw away that come with cheap trousers). It is a Compaq standard issue thing - 2 buttons, plus wheel (knife, shotgun, knife, shotgun). Damned thing is actually too damned small (I have these big-ass hands) and I want to go out and buy the best mouse ever made- a Microsoft Scroll Mouse. Simply, good size, and nice feel.

Hey Axa my hands are big also and I've found that if you buy some cork stick on buttons you can place them where they work best for you giving you kind of a custom fit to your mouse. I have 3 on mine making it very easy to lift and move with out actually gripping the mouse. I found these at the hardware store. They are intended for putting on the bottom of items (lamps, ornaments and such) to prevent scuffing on table tops etc. I believe the card of varous sizes cost $1.25 or so. Not bad for a quick cheap fix.

I am getting to dislike my MS optical mouse, its the intellimouse with the two side buttons. Often during the game (and usually during the heat of one on one combat) it goes nuts for a second and I am looking up at the sky or down at the ground spinning in circles. It really pisses me off on occasion. I had it replaced once for a similar problem, perhaps its time to do it again.
