Simple, did you carry the same settings for video stuff from TFC to the DOD config.cfg file? Make sure that ati_npatch is set to 0.

I've looked and I don't see anything but ATI Radeon 64 meg AGP and it's discontinued. Oh well... Blown that command does not seem to matter with the new catalyst drivers ?

cl_particlefx 0

That will help if you have an older gfx card. I have a geforce2 GTS and my fps rose considerably. Of course I also replaced my old 1.2 GHz tbird with a tbred-b that is running at 2GHz. I always had thought that my gfx card was the limiting factor, but it looks like my processor was. I get 60 fps constantly now. I cant figure out how to set the fps limit higher....

Yeah I can break 100fps in TFC but DOD I can't even break 30

I'm running WinXP Home

P4 1.8
512 megs of ram
and a crappy PCI card

I just need to break down and go and get a new video card .

I'm also running XP Home
P4 1.8
768 megs of ram
9800 Pro

I have all my settings back to default as far as video goes and it doesn't break a sweat. If you don't have the cash right now then try some of the tweaks that have been recommended. I do remember setting cl_particlefx to 0 and it helped a bit. If you can find enough tweaks then it may be enough to get you by till you can upgrade your card.
