Is 1.10 out yet? |

Apparently they have elected to give the cheaters a head start this time.
My feeling is -- there is a plan to tie the online MODS of HL2 in to STEAM. Valves plan is to charge $9.95 per month for online content and updates.
Because of the disaster STEAMS release was -- valve now has a better idea of what kind of demand to expect when they attempt to roll out the HL2 MODS.
If you recall, valve stated a few weeks back, there would be 3 HL2 products. The "mass retail" version, the "deluxe version" (online updates included) and the "exclusive online" $ 9.95 version.
Clearly, valve does not have the infrastructure...or did not have...to handle the type of demand there will be for HL2.
IMO-- the single player version was complete when they unveiled it at the big electronics show a few months ago (i forgot the name)
Valve thinks the big money is the online gamers who will pay them 10 bucks a month for life.
All this is just my opinion...we will wait and see if I am full of s**t _________________
