At a LAN party, this means that Internet access must be available to every machine on which Steam games are being played.
(thats going to be mighty nice)
yay, NOT!
At large events, it will be necessary for each attendee to let their games fully update before attending to avoid taxing the shared internet connection with too much content delivery.

Do I have to be connected to the Internet when I play Steam games?
The short answer is yes.
So, if your net goes dead, no playing with bots till it comes back.

Thanks, now I'm signing it. _________________

Well, who knows, maybe it was delayed to include it in the final? All of this is speculation of what you're talking about. _________________ Usually my sig goes here, but who the hell needs one anyways. |

Errrrrm...

If that's True,
GG Valve, my TFC days are over...
In fact, the tentative machine spec I've seen flying around to run steam would screw me over anyway, so you Valve.
Also, anyone who wants to play HF2 is going to have a pretty decent machine, so, not only will I not be able to play my beloved, now old, TFC, I'm not going to be able to play the new HF2, so way to go Valve.
Oh, and for those who are unsure what I thnk about the changes..
you Valve.
Ap.

The full version of Steam is out. As I understand it (and can't really confirm as the official site is down), your current client won't upgrade, so you have to get this installer. Fileplanet doesn't appear to have it on there, Steampowered.com is overloaded, so try this Games-Fusion link.
Thats special. Lets not take into account all the ppl that need to download it. Its not like they dont know how many server/players there are out there. GJ. Check out the NS thread of steam. 7 pages of very happy ppl. NOT. |
