As far as I can tell from the tests, you can configure the stats such that an engy WILL lose points if his SG is destroyed, either by an enemy, self det, or even both, depending on how it's set up.

Where MG kills are concerned, only the engy will get credit for it. And like I mentioned earlier, it's not possible to account for killing an MG yet, at least not until the makers of the NEOTF mod upgrade their plugin so that the particular action is recorded.

Penalize Engies if their SG is killed? Man, you guys really have a death with against Engies. Pick on some other class.

It's not like you have an Engie winning POTW every week. Who was the last hardcore Engie to win it, SuperZero? I'm looking at the first page of the stats right now, and I see ONE guy who plays mostly Engie (Battle Cow). It's all Soldiers now. Before that, it was all Snipers. Drop the rocket down to a 0.50 modifier, why don't ya? Oh, that's right. Soldiers have SKILL and TALENT, while Engies and Snipers are all no-talent campers.

I was just listing all the options that are available wrt SGs and it doesn't have to be activated. I'm gonna leave it to Rob to decide and let him take the heat for it! lol!
