I don't like to know where the guy is hiding it takes some of the mystery away. Rarely is the guy in the same spot, rarely do i not know where i get shot from, and rarely do i go into the same situation as did that got me killed in the first place. I have found it enjoyable and entertaining during the black screen to watch the map with the positions of your team in large form to see how my troops are doing and it is kinda amusing to watch some of them get picked off one by one. Anyway what i am saying is lets put it to a vote.

Bah, if that deathcam had been there earlier today, you would have known I was behind your butt when I treacherously sent your pixels back to where they belong
This would have preserved your dignity since you would not have any need to ask me how exactly I did own you.... _________________ PJ --- ancient IDIOT with a rusty CROWBAR....

Is there a way that we can automatically send you to view from a team mates eyes instead? Then no black screen but no seeing where you got shot from (probably).
What does the UN charter have to say on this? _________________

I have heard many a person in the game comment that knowing where you got shot from is very annoying. I find seeing where I got shot from is more annoying than the black screen. I used to use that time to consider where I would go next and how to get revenge. Now it is a no brainer, I know where the guy is. In my opinion, a lot less fun and worth going to other servers for. _________________

Today was the first time playing dod in 4 months. I still suck more then ever at it. So the death cam helps me. I like it alot better then watching a black screen. And in my case I would be seeing black more then playing the game. Oh and other then having my teammates calling me a jackass for not hiding with them while I ran around in the middle of the map swinging a knife or shovle it was fun.

Problem is Shock, I don't think a lot a servers have fade to black implemented. And if you run to another server, I will know that's because you are scared of my l33t skills....
I suggest that we try this for a time. _________________ PJ --- ancient IDIOT with a rusty CROWBAR....

I have thought about the black screen problem alot. Can TV2 be upgraded to the new DoD and have the black screen? Then we got a server with it and a server without it. And people can play on the one that they want to. _________________

One word: disapointing
I can't force you to stay playing here with us, and I can't say I agree with your reasons especially regarding the BSoD. Frankly, apart from noobs, anybody knows where they got killed. It's not like there were many places to hide. And considering your post, I don't think you see noobs as a challenge. If you really think that when you are hiding someone who got shot doesn't know it, well you are mistaken, especially because of the nuzzle flash.
I know where ppl are even when they are not shooting at me, if they had shot one single shot from their weapons. That flash can be seen from very far away. And after that I hear I wallhack because I know where ppl are, while moreover I hear them walking all over the place.
Shock, anybody with brains, ears and experiences knows everything, every strategies, every hiding spots that someone use, especially on maps we play all the time. I did not see you got killed more these days than you were with the BSoD.
As for the maps, I did not experience what you described. I'm not sure you will find a better playing experience elsewhere, but good luck. _________________ PJ --- ancient IDIOT with a rusty CROWBAR....

Eh, Paddy...the BSoD can be useful. Ever been shot in a huge area with lots of obstacles? Unless the guy shooting you is an idiot, you probably won't see him. You can make your assumptions, but it doesn't mean that you'll be right. Even if you do know where he shot you from, you still have to wonder, has he moved? Is he still there? Does he have backup? Death cam can easily take away all questions of his whereabouts and if he's alone or not. _________________
