Trackballls suck. I tried using one that one of my friends had a long time ago. It was simply horrible. No control at all. Though I find that mouse pads are even worse. _________________

my frist tfc experience was about 4 hours of trying to learn a trackball at my friends hosue a few summers ago. it wasn't all that bad with it. he is wicked crazy with it though and i'm sure he gets as good of control out of that as i do my otical mouse. _________________ |

For me it's much easier to control. I'm not moving my hand all around. It's just sitting there on the trackball with my thumg and fingers going crazy on it. I guess it's a personal preference, for me it's harder to control with a mouse. _________________

Don't bet on it.
Definitely go with optical. I also use a M$ mouse with 4 buttons. I have the wireless one, but it is soley USB and I have problems with it (too many USB peripherals I think--they all seem to want to be plugged in directly, not through an extention hub.) |
you can buy a thingy that will let you use your optical USB mousse on your PS2 input and it almost costs nothing.
it looks like this:

Those came with the ones that I got. And about the trackball, I think it is just what you get used to. I use the mouse pad thing better than I can use any other type of mouse. It's just because I got used to using it. _________________

Yeah, I have one of those on my "wired" USB mouse right now, but it will not work with the "wireless" USB one . It apparently has to be connected to the USB port to work. _________________

I use the Logitech Cordless Elite Duo, mainly because I am on a laptop with a fried keyboard and I hate the touch pad. Excpet for the batteries in the mouse always running out in the middle of a game, it is great _________________ http://www.barbertonrhps.com - The offical Website for Barberton's West Theater Rocky Horror Picture Show in Ohio

That is why I have not been gaming in the last two weeks or so my mouse died. I cannot deal with any old critter either, it's got to be a Duel Optical. So, I am S.O.L until I can get another one in at circuit city. _________________ http://www.nosmacktards.com |
