You guys should try looking at it from Danno's side. It takes a lot of time and money to run something like that. When no one ever says thank you and just bitches and whines it'd make you irritable too.

If anyone has delt with Danno they would know he is very very involved in helping fix problems, or address ideas one may have.
And Borg, if life is that bad go see help. If one persons views torwards you (Danno) upset you that much when it was so little then you do need help. Laying the reason for suicide for some being annoyed at another is weak IMO. Suicide is selfish, you do it to only in your mind help yourself while you destroy so many around you. Maybe try and think of others before doing such a thing, or even threatening it. |

Id also like to add that depending on your Video settings you can get Choke, I kno w/e i turn Open GL instead of software mode i always get more choke,

What? How can you play the game in software mode? Its made for OpenGL  Directx is terrible too with the engine.

Ya, no kiddin. I havent tried DX since I got my new vid card (9500 PRO woohoo) but even with my old card and new one choke and loss havent changed. Guess I have never noticed the choke issue with TV1, and I'm one of the furthest away from it. |

Actually the bandwidth sent to you by the servers, thus the choke rate, is entirely unrelated to the latency (delay) between the client and server. You can get great performance (no choke) on most servers and get choked by the high bandwidth ones because they are sending you 50 or 100Kbits/sec based on your rate settings, and either you or something between you and the server can't handle that data rate. Getting choked by high bandwidth servers is most likely to happen to players with slow connections that have a rate setting too high for their speed. It makes perfect sense that servers that do server-side limiting of client rates, or have less bandwidth, could have any ping speed and no choke compared with a high bandwidth server. |
I can understand that Warhammer, but if you read my posts, they state that my connection has NOT changed whatsoever. I have highspeed cable. This problem I have with TV1 is ONLY with TV1, and it started about 2-3 weeks ago. Before that, I got absolutly no delay at all. That's why I asked if a setting had been changed or something. I'm not a server expert, but I know for a fact that the problem isn't my computer. So if it's not on my end, and it's not on the server's end, then where is it? Is it possible that depending on where you are, you have to run through a different line before reaching the actual server?
I never once flamed Danno, and I have thanked him before. But I still can't play on my fav server until my delay problem is resolved somehow.

Danno can you give me some suggestions I just play the game I never go and change settiings or anything my connection is is high speed cable 1.5 + I just started with the delay about 3 days ago my choke runs about 0 to 8 my ping is normally in between 40 and 70 is there a test or settings I could change.
I been playing here over a year now maybe 2 anywasy I think the admins do a great job and appreciate all the time and effort you guy's and gal's put in to it and I just want to thank you all for a great place to play.
