Hey everyone, from now till 7pm CT (Ville time)today, I'll be testing out a new stats configuration specifically designed to log SG kills by enemies.
This WILL NOT affect your current stats on The Ville as it is pointing to a different machine.
So help me out and get onto TV4 (38.170.116.186:27015) and build SG's, have your opponent destroy them, build again, detonate them, etc. Try not to upgrade the SG's since that'll make destroying them only harder for your opponents. And try not to kill them while they attempt to take out your SGs! You're only delaying the inevitable!
Hopefully, I'll get enough data to figure out a way to account for SG kills and reward players who take 'em out for the team!
Regular stats-keeping will go back to normal after 7pm Ville time.

thanks to all who participated in this test. It was done mostly in Warpath and I heard that it looked like one of those civil war battles with SGs on opposing ends at CP3 with the engies shooting at each other from afar!
as far as i could tell with the data, we might be able to account for the long-awaited SG kills in the stats. There's still some final tweaking to be done but things look hopeful!

Cool munkey I was about to post that I wish sg kills were counted.It would also be a great daily award "top sg killa" or something like that

This is amazing... Sg kills have finally reached the stats on the stats on the ville! (or almost). The ville just doesn't stop improving. First caps added, no sg kills. Great work Munk.

Congrats Monkey, If this starts working a ton of people will be delighted. Me for one, because it seems that I enjoy taking out those sg's with well places nades. Also will this count mg's? That would be nice too, but I can handle only sg's.

A chunk of the testing was done by the all-star Engineer team of {G.B.K.}Battle Cow and myself, so if the SG stats become a reality, don't forget the incredible sacrifice we made for you. We actually engaged in behavior that encourages the destruction of SGs! Have we betrayed Engies everywhere????

What about MGs they seem to be as bothersome as the SGs now hehe

unfortunately, the only thing we can do with MGs is to log its kills, and not its destruction. You can see this in the new stats that Rob put up under the Weapons Stats.
Besides, since MGs can be destroyed under friendly fire, your MG might, just might be a target for teammates eager to get those extra points! heh!

One question Munk. Would an SG kill count as a for the engie? This would be cool, because it would mean that engies would have to protect their sg's as they would protect themselves, and wouldn't just let them die so that they can get a higher kill/death ratio.

We don't need anything added to increase this classes Stats especially in Neo-TF cause they are already Unbalanced enough. I was hoping that the topic meant that "Players who kill Sentry Guns" get a rating in the Stats, not the other way around and certainly not for Neo-TF.
What about a Skill Rating for killing these machines in both Mods? that would be nice since they actually are more dangerous than its creator is as far as kills and adding to ones stats go??

Snagg that also would be a good addition since it takes a "Team Effort" to accomplish
creating whatever the MG gets turned into. |
